Editing the data uploaded in the portals is one of the most time-consuming processes of this project. Although the data in the labels has been translated with Optical Character Recognition (OCR), we still have to populate the data in the field of the database and transcribe the text of the handwritten labels, some of the extremely difficult (check our collection).

In our effort to understand how fast we are progressing and if we will reach our deadlines, we put together the following chart, that might be useful for other projects doing similar activities.

From this chart we can see that the average time that our editors take is 3.1 minutes. Also, there is a considerable variation in the time editors spent editing. We tried to identify what are the translations that are the most time-consuming and they are clearly hand-written labels, especially when editors have to research the locality in the label using internet or maps.
