Soft, very sandy, and friable paste, dark orange in color. Smooth, reflective lead glaze, usually on a single vessel surface, although glazing on both sides can occur. The glaze is typically brownish, light olive green, or brownish-orange, and tends to have a slightly speckled appearance. |
