The McGuire Center welcomes donations that help to support our ongoing efforts in research, curation, education and outreach. If you are interested in supporting one of the following programmatic priorities, or any other of our activities, please contact Keith Willmott (kwillmott@flmnh.ufl.edu) or Marie Emmerson (emmerson@ufl.edu).

McGuire General Support Fund

The McGuire General Support Fund supports numerous activities, including curatorial staff salaries, new collections acquisitions, building maintenance, replacement equipment, and unexpected research opportunities. Make a gift here.

McGuire Publications Fund

The McGuire publications fund provides small grants to our students to help cover the costs of publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals. Fees are often charged by journals that cover more specialist fields, such as Lepidoptera taxonomy, or as Open Access fees so that the article will be freely available online to all users, without an institutional subscription. The fund has broad benefits, enabling visiting researchers to access to one of the world’s largest collections, expanding and accelerating the use of our collections, helping to curate and enhance the McGuire collections through the expertise of visiting researchers, and promoting collaboration between the McGuire Center and institutions and researchers from around the world.
