Save the Date

The University of Florida Thompson Earth Systems Institute’s Scientist in Every Florida School Program is organizing next year’s signature professional development workshop for teachers which will be themed on Florida’s atmosphere.

We are looking for scientists and labs whose work involves the atmosphere in some capacity and who are interested in sharing research and resources with teachers. We are looking for labs interested in hosting 3-5 teachers to participate in research and co-write related lessons for the classroom during the week of July 11-15, 2022.  Scientists will also have the opportunity to engage with the students via virtual and/or physical classroom visits the following school year. We know we’re early, but there’s a lot to do!

If you are looking for K-12 outreach opportunities, outlets for NSF Broader Impacts in your proposals, or you are working on NOAA or NASA proposals, this is a great opportunity for a SEFS collaboration!
