Opportunity Description

The Natural Resource Diversity Initiative (NRDI) supports research experiences and networking opportunities for students from various backgrounds to help students advance their careers in conservation and science.

The Natural Resources Diversity Initiative (NRDI) grant will be awarded to an undergraduate conducting research within the fields of wildlife, conservation, natural resource use, resource management, water and soil science, or biology pertaining to ecology, taxonomy, behavior, and/or evolution.

The grant recipient will be awarded $500 to cover a variety of expenses that they may need for their project, ranging from materials to travel to conference registration.

Upon completion of the project, the recipient will be required to present a research poster or presentation at any of the following events: a Regional or National conference, WEC seminar series, UF Undergraduate research symposium, or an NRDI meeting.

Qualifications

  • Be an undergraduate at UF conducting research within the fields of wildlife, conservation, natural resource use, resource management, water and soil science, or biology pertaining to ecology, taxonomy, behavior, and/or evolution.
