Opportunity Description

Megan S. Jones, Assistant Professor and Assistant Unit Leader at the Oregon Cooperative Fish & Wildlife Research Unit, is recruiting a PhD student to join her lab to conduct applied research on climate communication. The PhD student will design and lead a series of social science studies focused on identifying and addressing barriers to engaging diverse audiences in effective climate adaptation in the context of fisheries management. The student and I will work closely together and collaborate with project partners, especially the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

This position would include four years of support, including 12 months of salary per year (~$30-33k) and covering the costs of tuition, fees, and benefits. The student would be based at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, and start in the fall term, on September 25, 2024.
