The Butterfly Rainforest is a can’t-miss living exhibit that features hundreds of free-flying butterflies and birds from around the world along with an assortment of other animals including turtles and fish to experience firsthand.

The lush landscape is planted in tropical trees and colorful flowering plants amid waterfalls and a walking path. Skilled interpretive staff are available to help answer questions and provide visitors with a personal and highly engaging experience. Ticket sales and exhibit entrance close at 4:30 p.m.

Know Before You Go

The Butterfly Rainforest exhibit is a USDA containment facility that requires special visitor rules. To protect our rainforest residents all guests are required to:

• Only observe with your eyes. Please do not touch or disturb the butterflies or plants.
• Please remove food, beverage, gum and candy before entering.
• Please check-in strollers, large bags, umbrellas, tripods and monopods.
• Please wait for the first door to close before you open the second door as you enter and exit.

Tickets are available for purchase online through Tix.com. Service fees apply and are charged by Tix.com. Online tickets are general admission and valid for single-day entry. Butterfly Rainforest tickets may be redeemed up to 6 months past purchase date. Best Value and special exhibit tickets expire the last day of the special exhibition. Tickets purchased online are non-refundable.
