Walk down memory lane with us to look at past special exhibits we’ve enjoyed here at the Florida Museum! While this exhibit has moved on to other places, we treasured the opportunity to learn and explore. Find out what exhibits are currently here at the Museum:

This exhibit was on display May 19, 2018, through September 16, 2018

A Gothic-style castle setting invited visitors to experience the true nature of bats! Some of these displays included a world map where visitors guessed how many bats live in an area, a scale showing how much bats eat and a pair of ears visitors could use to hear like a bat. The exhibit attempted to dispel myths and inform guests about the ecological importance of the only true flying mammal.

We included bonus display material like CT scans and bat specimens from our collection and a model of the new University of Florida Bat Barn, completed in February 2017. Visitors got to see how Museum scientists collect and prepare bat specimens and hear about their research.
