Host organization/department

Alachua Conservation Trust

Description

The mission of Alachua Conservation Trust (ACT) is to protect the natural, historic, scenic, and recreational resources in and around North Central Florida. ACT protects land through purchase, donation, and conservation easements in 16 counties. ACT seeks volunteers for various fall, winter, and spring projects. ACT regularly needs people to 1) table events (e.g. arts festivals, farmer’s markets) and educate the public about ACT’s mission, 2) remove exotic vegetation and plant native species, or 3) maintain ACT’s preserves.

If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents or have a large group interested in doing a project with ACT, please fill out the interested volunteer form, and you will be added to their email list for notification of upcoming volunteer activities once they are scheduled.

Date & time

Volunteer events and activities typically take place from September-May.
