Opportunity Description

Join us for a conversation with UF’s spring Science Journalist in Residence, Helena Bottemiller Evich, the founder and editor-in-chief of Food Fix. A reception will follow the talk.

Food Fix is a new, in-depth publication about food policy in Washington and beyond. Evich, an award-winning reporter who previously led food coverage at Politico, launched Food Fix to be the go-to source for food policy news and analysis for insiders and consumers alike. She has made appearances on various prominent platforms including CNN, MSNBC, CBS, BBC and NPR.

UF’s Science Journalist in Residence Program brings leading science writers to the UF campus in Gainesville each semester to interact with faculty and students. SJRs give public talks, speak in classes, visit laboratories, and meet one-on-one with students interested in science stories.
