Opportunity Description

Join us to celebrate the joy of springtime, and hop around Lake Alice to explore four amazing UF hands-on teaching spaces that connect to Plant Science! Free snacks, club activities, flower harvests, veggie digging, music, plant sales, career connections, and more! Explore all four sites to win prizes! Details and maps are available at every site, so start wherever you wish:

  • Field & Fork Campus Food Program for unique flavors, music, and bats!
  • Horticultural Sciences Teaching Farm for hands-on classes, careers, nibbles, and harvests!
  • UF Native Plant Nursery for ecosystem restoration, planting, and nature!
  • Wilmot Botanical Gardens for the Therapeutic Horticulture program and rare plants!

Bike, walk, bus, or park at lots at the Horticultural Sciences Teaching Farm/Fifield Hall Parking (2550 Hull Road) or Field & Fork/ Bat House Lot (2656 Museum Road), then hop a tram or skip/jump/ride to the next sites. Explore all four! And stick around till dusk to watch the bats emerge at the Bat Houses!
