Now that digging is over for the season, we have been making great progress towards processing the fossil finds. Through this we have found two mammal species to add to our faunal list! The first, is ‘The missing Lynx’. Jason Bourque discovered a left tibia, leg bone, from Lynx rexroadensis fairly recently, on May 9th. The second is a tapir! Ella Cooney discovered the lunar, ankle bone, of Tapirus polkensis back in January. Both have been added to our Montbrook faunal list!
