Yihan is a doctoral student in the Teachers, Schools, and Society program. Her work centers on education research and curriculum development, with a particular interest in how teachers bring new ideas into their classrooms and how thoughtful learning experiences can spark curiosity in students of all ages. She is passionate about connecting young learners with the world around them and believes that well-designed educational resources can make science and the environment feel approachable and exciting. In her free time, she enjoys making digital and mixed-media art, visiting museums, and exploring the outdoors.

Through her role with TESI, Yihan supports a project that explores how K-12 teachers use insects in their classrooms. She contributes to a research study on classroom teaching practices, helps develop new resources for educators, and assists with planning teacher professional development through the Scientist in Every Florida School program.
