Explore with us as we step Into the Garden, a virtual event series hosted by Scientist in Every Florida School and Mounts Botanical Garden of Palm Beach County. Scientists will uncover many mysteries in the garden through these virtual interactive trips, which will be live-streamed on Zoom and YouTube.

This Fall, we are excited to highlight the Ambassadors of the Wetlands program (sponsored by The Batchelor Foundation), a community partnership between Mounts Botanical GardenPalm Beach Soil & Water Conservation District and the A.R.M. Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge. The program promotes wetland stewardship, water conservation and environmental education to enhance Everglades knowledge and inspire civic responsibility and stewardship of Florida’s natural resources.

Core themes include Florida’s geologic history and Everglades formation, the importance of wetlands, ecological functions, human changes to the natural system, and what young people can do to help. Our Into the Garden series will focus on a number of these wetlands topics this Fall.

Join us as we speak with Eve Samples, Executive Director for Friends of the Everglades, as she shares the mission to preserve, protect, and restore the only Everglades in the world. Founded in 1969 by renowned journalist, author, and environmental activist Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Friends of the Everglades continues to be a major voice for our unique Florida ecosystem today.
