Dulce Diaz Roa is a senior from Belle Glade and Mexico studying family, youth and community sciences and nonprofit organizational leadership. Through this fellowship, Diaz Roa is interested in learning more about agricultural sustainability, food systems, environmental research, and identifying potential solutions. In her professional life, she hopes to go to graduate school and study education policy. She may go to law school, but she knows she wants to aid in the education system and incorporate the community in education initiatives. Having environmental awareness in school is something she wants to incorporate more. In her free time, she enjoys painting, listening to all kinds of music, going on outdoor adventures, and spending time with her friends and family members.
“I love learning new ideas and topics, especially those focusing on the environment. I’m overall very excited to meet other individuals who want to help our planet and our quality of life.”
