Come explore with Lepidopterists (scientists who study butterflies and moths) Kristin Rossetti and Matt Standridge from the Florida Museum’s Daniels Lab to learn the many wonders of the insect world and how scientists collect and study insects in the field. Investigate a diversity of live insects and their life cycles, role as pollinators and learn the importance of museum collections.

We’re hosting weekend Family Discovery Camps this July. Explore the natural world with scientists and Museum staff in this outdoor experience for the whole family. Discover how scientists work in the field and learn how to use the tools of science yourself.

Wear appropriate footwear and clothes that can get dirty or wet! We will be heading outdoors to explore the University of Florida Natural Area Teaching Laboratory.

Camps are designed for children in grades K-6 and their family. Pre-registration is required and closes on July 22.
