Look at this specimen! The lower jaw of a small Montbrook alligator collected by volunteer Sharon Lord in May is nicely prepared and ready to be cataloged into the collection!

While it takes a lot of work to surface fossils in the field, it can take months in the lab to prepare these discoveries for finally being catalogued into our collection. We have so much appreciation for all of our scientists, students and volunteers that invest their time into our paleontological collections!
