Our Florida Program for Shark Research released the worldwide shark attack summary for 2015 and it was one for the record books. Another (no less exciting, at least to me) bit of news is that the summary debuted on a freshly redesigned Ichthyology website!

This Monday through Wednesday, the new fish site had 10,290 users visit from 150 countries and was mentioned on 1,124 online media outlets.

The new site represents almost two years of work to migrate the largest collection-based site at the museum. Radha Krueger sifted through 1,780 pages of content. Chris Dell wrote a handy tool to export data out of the International Shark Attack File database and display it with interactive maps and charts.

Check it out when you get a chance!
