Meet friends, learn about nature, practice classroom skills, and ask questions. This tour is designed for kids age 6-11 and their parents. RRC Operations Manager Natalie Binder will lead a walk through the main trails of the RRC, looking at plants, wetlands, birds, bugs, and Pine Island’s unique history.
This walk is about 2/3rds of a mile on packed gravel. Each attendee should have a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle, and bug spray. You are also welcome to bring your lunch, as there will be time to socialize and play after the walk. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian and must be able to follow instructions. Walks may include a story, movement activity, or art activity.
While the program is designed for elementary age, younger and older children are welcome. Hope to see you there! Tours begin at 10am; please arrive by 9:50am.
Requested donations for visitors to the Calusa Heritage Trail are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $4 for children 12 and under. Members of the Friends of the RRC are admitted free. If you are unable to pay, please feel free to visit as a guest of our Friends organization.
Kids’ nature walks are offered Saturdays at 10am through the end of March 2026. View the calendar for all of our tours and events.
Income from donations and memberships makes it possible to maintain this important archaeological site.
