Blueberry (Vaccinium darrowi) pollen tetrads. Normally after meiosis four products are produced and their separated, but in blueberry, potato and other crops, the four products of meiosis stay together. Measuring pollen tetrads diameter allows us to estimate when a plant has doubled chromosome number after colchicine treatment because of the increase in the nuclear content after colchicine treatments.
