Research is creative work. Like all creative arts, research keeps on evolving. Research starts from visualization, undergoes materialization, and finally approaches realization. The final realization starts another cycle of creativity. In this piece, we have presented our research efforts for realizing laser beam shaping experiment for gravitational wave interferometers. The outer circular bodies represent merging of binary stars. The big circle represents cyclic nature of research. The first circle on the right represents the visualization where by controlling the heating of a glass, we can make a tunable lens for focusing the laser beam. The bottom circle represents our design for materializing the tunable lens. Finally the left circle shows the result of the experiment. These imperfect results will start another research cycle. The colored circle represents temperature gradient that we need to create the tunable lens. This whole process shows the integration of creativity in a cycle.
