Join the Florida Museum for a special, time-limited experience and go behind the scenes of the Butterfly Rainforest! For three weeks, from Sept. 4 through Sept. 21 starting at 1 p.m., visitors may tour the Florida Wildflower & Butterfly Garden, Greenhouse Area and Rearing Lab with a knowledgeable staff member.

Learn more about North Central Florida’s native and pollinator-friendly plants, see where vegetation is stored before it’s planted and get up-close with the butterflies prior to their release into the Butterfly Rainforest at 2 p.m.

Tour Details

  • Available at 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday, weather permitting.
  • Tour is roughly 45 minutes.
  • Limit 15 people.
  • Portions of the tour are outside and on non-paved areas.

  • $10 per person including children 3-17
  • $9 for Museum members

*Does not include admission to the Butterfly Rainforest.
