NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Florida Statute § 267.0723, that the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA-FLORIDA MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY (UF-FLMNH) has custody of a holding or collection on loan, that was acquired from a property located on Upper Matecumbe Key once owned by Mr. Arthur Choate in 2001. The collection consists of archaeological materials. The UF-FLMNH wishes to terminate this loan effective May 1, 2026. Potential claimants of this property must contact the NAGPRA office at 352-2731943 or nagpraoffice@floridamuseum.ufl.edu to discuss specific details of the location and to collect or donate this collection within 90 days of the publication of this notice. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of ownership of this property. Site 1: Upper Matecumbe Key, Monroe County, Florida (Reference Acc. 2001-22).
