Poison dart frog tadpole
Poison dart frog tadpole. Florida Museum photo by Jeff Gage

One of the poison dart frog eggs from the Florida Museum Frogs! exhibit ‘hatched’ and we have a tiny tadpole! This pollywog only looks cross-eyed, and he’s still very small. Our frog keeper says it will take three months for him to grow back legs. Meanwhile, we’re excited to see what color it grows up to be.
