In the Majure Lab we aim to understand patterns in biodiversity across the Americas, especially in tropical regions in aridlands and montane forests.

We use a wide array of tools to determine extant biodiversity of plants in these areas, including molecular phylogenetics, morphological and cytogenetic studies, as well as intensive fieldwork. Museum studies, generating and using herbarium specimens are a major focus and engine of the lab.
