This exhibit was on display May 28, 2011, through January 2, 2012

Whales compose, bullfrogs chorus, songbirds greet dawn and people everywhere sing and dance. What do we have in common? Musical instincts run deep. The exhibition Wild Music explored the biological origins of music. Using highly interactive components and exceptional sound experiences, the exhibit expands our understanding of what makes music.

This exhibit took visitors on a journey through the forest, city, and sea to experience the melodies found in each environment. Presented in English, Spanish and Braille, this exhibit allows visitors to hear, feel and see the power of sound.

Wild Music: Sounds & Songs of Life is a production of the Science Museum of Minnesota, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and the Association of Science-Technology Centers. Major funding comes from the National Science Foundation, with additional support from Harman International Industries, Inc. and NEC Foundation of America.
