Taylor WilsonTaylor’s employment as a Software Developer at the Florida Museum of Natural History is a happy union of two lifelong, defining interests, Computer Science and Natural Science.

After receiving his B.A. in Anthropology from Florida Atlantic University, he was proudly employed by the University of Florida International Center.  During his time with UFIC, he assisted UF students and applicants of diverse nationalities and cultures with both their visa status and academic needs.  During this time, he kindled a personal interest in technology and programming into a career path.  Through the UF Employee Education Program, Taylor was able to complete a V.C. in Internet Service Technologies at Santa Fe College.  When the time came to complete the mandatory internship semester, the Museum took him on.  Taylor had found a destined career home and has remained happily employed by the Museum since.

Taylor’s family has always had connections to Gainesville and, as a child, he had deeply influential experiences frequently visiting the Florida Museum of Natural History.  These experiences have shaped Taylor’s commitment to enable and support the important scientific investigations conducted at the Florida Museum.

In his personal time, Taylor enjoys all manner of outdoor activity, from hiking in geologically exceptional locales, to paddling peacefully through North Florida’s many beautiful spring-fed inland waterways.  Together with his two cats Cody and Zelda, he is a proud resident of Gainesville.
