The Butterfly Garden program brings Florida Museum educators and scientists to local schools, community centers and afterschool programs to plant butterfly gardens and conduct workshops on pollinators and insects.

The goal of the program is to create gardens that establish habitats and food for pollinators like butterflies and bees across a large area while also offering an educational resource for the community to take advantage of. Museum staff are also available for follow-up workshops to teach participants how to maintain these gardens and make sure the plants are healthy.

This program is free of cost and open to schools, community centers and afterschool programs in Alachua County.
