We had so much fun hosting the first Florida Museum Science Night of the year at Lawton Chiles Elementary School!
Our education team taught a variety of science activities, each designed to explore physics in nature (sound and air), Florida Natural history, (fossils and insects), or build scientific tools (a pooter a.k.a. bug catcher).
The kids and teachers had fun building hoop gliders, extracting DNA from strawberries, making butterfly masks, and learning about pollinators, fossils, and more.
Special thanks to all our partners for making this possible.
