She returned to school to study web programming and became the Museum’s first full-time webmaster in 2000. Sarah has managed the Museum’s website ever since, and has guided it through several major redesigns and dramatic shifts in technology through the years. Along with the main public website she also helps maintain the Museum’s Intranet, grant-funded projects and other applications. Over her career Sarah has been deeply involved in web design, coding and development, project management, information architecture, usability, accessibility, content strategy, staff training, technology consulting, supervising web developers, and administrating content management systems. With her new focus on Digital Engagement Sarah is adding digital advertising and advanced analytics to the mix, and is excited to bring all of these aspects together to further enhance the Museum’s online presence.

Radha earned a business degree then followed a career in publishing into web development in the early days of the Web. Alongside building a portfolio of freelance digital and multimedia projects, she was part of a web startup that developed into a medium-size international nonprofit with an extensive ecommerce backbone. She managed the nonprofit’s ecommerce branch for 9 years and then the full organization for an additional 5 years, before turning to freelance fulltime. She focused on working with local businesses to develop digital and marketing plans, including from-scratch website creation, scalable social media strategy, and content creation and media asset production. After several years of working with small businesses, she joined the Museum to focus on digital engagement. Repositioning the Museum’s many digital channels into one space will allow her to develop a harmonized, audience-focused communication strategy within this small, nimble team of digital stewards.
