All Things Beautiful: Wonders from the Collections of the Florida Museum of Natural History continues to gather accolades, winning gold awards both domestically and internationally.
Florida Book Awards, Richard E. Rice Gold Medal for Visual Arts
Coordinated by the Florida State University Libraries, the Florida Book Awards began in 2006 to celebrate the best of Florida literature. Now in its seventeenth year, the annual competition featured 150 eligible publications across 11 categories for books published in 2022. Heather Dewar, Kristen Grace, Beverly Sensbach and Florida Museum senior graphic designer Hollis Wooley (not in attendance) were honored with the 2022 Gold Medal for Visual Arts award on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the annual awards banquet in Tallahassee.
Indigo Design Awards, Gold Winner in Book Design for Graphic Design
The Indigo Design Award aims to showcase the work of innovative, cutting-edge design agencies as well as individual designers with exceptional work from anywhere around the globe. All Things Beautiful was awarded the Gold Winner in Book Design for Graphic Design in a ceremony in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Circle of Excellence Gold Award in design and publications and Best of District III Awards
CASE’s annual Circle of Excellence Awards showcase outstanding work in advancement as well as recognize exceptional achievement in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, fundraising, and marketing. These are the creative, inspiring projects that impact institutions and their communities—and transform lives around the globe. The All Things Beautiful team was honored to receive this year’s Circle of Excellence Gold Award in design and publications as well as the Best of District III Awards.
University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA), First Prize Award in print and publications
The UPAA is an international organization of college and university photographers dedicated to the application and practice of photography as it relates to higher education. UPAA Honor Awards are presented annually for individual photographs and special edition printed pieces judged as outstanding within the defined categories of the Print and Publication Competition. All Things Beautiful was awarded the First Prize Award in print and publications during the 2023 UPAA Symposium in Notre Dame, Indiana.
DNA Paris, Honorable Mention in Graphic design/Key art (Posters, covers, illustration)
The DNA Paris Design Awards honors designs in the disciplines of Architecture, Interior design, Landscape Design, Graphic Design and Products design awarding the best designers worldwide. All Things Beautiful was awarded the Honorable Mention under the Graphic Design/ Colorfoul project/Editorial Key art (Posters, covers and illustration). All winners were celebrated at the Award Ceremony on Friday, October 6, 2023 in Paris, France.
60th Annual Graphic Design USA (GDUSA), In-House Award Winner
All Things Beautiful was also honored to be selected one of the winners in the GDUSA’s 60th anniversary In-house Design Awards! The competition is the original and premier showcase for in-house design excellence at corporations, non-profits and institutions. 6,000+ entries across all media were submitted and only the top 10% were selected, reflecting the increasingly expansive ways in which graphic design serves and shapes commerce and culture. Winners will be showcased in the next print and digital edition accessible from the GDUSA competitions homepage.
Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC), Gold and Best in Show Awards in the 2023 Publications Competition
The SEMC Publication Design Competition recognizes and rewards excellence in graphic design in southeastern museum publications. This competition encourages communication, effective design, creativity and pride of work, and recognition of institutional image and identity. This year, All Things Beautiful was awarded the Gold and Best in Show Awards that will be featured at SEMC2023 Conference in Louisville, Kentucky and in the Fall 2023 Edition of INSIDE SEMC.
Creative Communication Award, 2023 C2A Winner
The mission of the Creative Communication Award is to promote creativity, excellence, and outstanding ideas in communication design, advertising, and digital media. The C2A is an international awards program, and promotional platform for communication designers, agencies, graphic designers, freelancers, digital media designers, and the worldwide creative community. The most excellent campaigns, creative solutions, and ideas are selected and awarded by the renowned international C2A jury. International Design Awards, Honorable Mention in Print-Books
The International Design Awards (IDA) exists to recognize, celebrate and promote legendary design visionaries and to uncover emerging talent in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion Design. The 17th edition of the IDA attracted thousands of outstanding submissions from designers around the world (from almost 80 countries) who vied for the top prizes in this prestigious award. All Things Beautiful was awarded the Honorable Mention under the Graphic Design Print-Books category. All winners will be celebrated at a special gala evening later this year.
