Undergraduate Students & Volunteers

Our lab is always interested in recruiting motivated undergraduate students and volunteers. Typical research tasks include digitization and transcription of specimen material as well as assisting graduate students and postdocs with their research. Exceptionally talented students and volunteers may have the opportunity to work on their own research projects. I do not currently have funding to support paid positions.

Graduate Students & Postdoctoral Researchers

I do not currently have funding to support additional graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. Please do get in touch if you are interested in putting together an application to a fellowship program (e.g., NSF-GRFP/PRFB) that would sponsor your time in the lab. I am happy to help you with that with no strings attached.

For graduate students: I can admit you at the Master’s or Doctoral level in a variety of degree-granting programs at the University of Florida. Each of those programs has its own admissions requirements and timelines that you should be aware of. I am currently able to accept students via arrangements in the following programs:

• MS or PhD in Biology (Zoology), Department of Biology
• MS or PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology, School of Natural Resources and the Environment
• MS or PhD in Entomology, Department of Entomology and Nematology (as co-advisor)
• MA in Museum Studies, Museum Studies Program, School of Art and Art History
