    : United States: Florida: Putnam County. Florahome: Etoniah Creek State Forest. Along Tinsley Road, 275-350 m east of intersection with Coral Farms Road. Disturbed and recently burned sandhills and open areas along side of road. Dominant species: Pinus palustris, Quercus laevis, Pinus clausa, Lyonia ferruginea, and Serenoa repens. Common along sides of roads, especially near ditches with running water. To 1.5 m tall, armed throughout with large prickles. Made me bleed. With Crotalaria rotundifolia, Crotalaria spectabilis, Indigofera hirsuta, Geobalanus oblongifolius, and Quercus myrtifolia. Elevation: 40-50 m. Lat/Long: 29.787N, 81.875W.
