    : United States: North Carolina: Macon County. Coweeta Hydrologic Lab. Upper Ball Creek Road; FR 421 on upper slopes of Dryman Branch. Elev. 1051 m Appalachian/Blue Ridge mixed oak forest. Cove forest with rocky stream drainage. Growing in soil, not lithophytic. Sympatric with Thelypteris, Dryopteris goldiana, Dryopteris marginalis, Diplazium pycnocarpum. Uncommon. Lat. 35.02263N Long. 83.43817W Datum: WGS84.
