    : United States: Florida: Jackson County. Marianna: Florida Caverns State Park just off the Bluff Trail near the visitor's center. ca 30-55 ft in elevation. 3048'49.1 "N, 08513'42.8"W. Floodplain and mesic forest. Humus rich sandy soils. MBC accessions numbers 20050654-20050658 (Noblick 5438A-E) are from the same population . Solitary acaulescent palm to 1m in total height, with ca. 4-7 nearly palmate leaves per stem. Leaf petioles smooth, entire. Petiole 38-82 cm long x 0.9-1.5 cm wide, adaxially channeled and abaxially rounded. Leaf rachis very short with hastula present. 8-14 pairs of leaflets. Basal leaflets 40-54 cm long x 1.5-2.4 cm wide. Middle leaflets 45-62 cm long x 202-4.0 cm wide. Androgynous inflorescence branching to two orders with 70-110 cm long, ca 1 cm thick peduncle and 68-102 cm long rachis. There are 8-10 primary branches measuring 5-8 cm long at the apex and 11-21 cm long at the base. Fruits black in color and ca 1 cm in diameter.
