    : United States: Florida: Holmes County. Ponce de Leon: Ponce de Leon Springs State Park, Spring Run Trail just across from the springs beginning with the board walk. ca 100-250 ft in elevation. 3043'14.7"N, 08555'51.4"W. Floodplain. Nearly flat terrain, except for stream embankments. alluvial sandy soils. MBC accessions numbers 20050649-20050653 (Noblick 5437A-E) are from the same population. Solitary acaulescent palm to 1m in total height, with ca. 4-10 spirally arranged, nearly palmate, bluish-green leaves per stem. Leaf petioles smooth, entire, 37-61 cm long x 0.8-1.3 cm wide. Petiole adaxially channeled and abaxially rounded. Leaf rachis very short, hastula present. 9-14 pairs of leatlets. Basal leatlets 36-60 cm long x 1.7-2 cm wide. Middle leatlets 37-71 cm cm long x 2.1-3.4 cm wide. Androgynous inflorescence branched to two orders extends beyond the height of the leaves with 105-127 cm long, 0.6-0.8 cm thick peduncle and 52-93 cm long rachis. There are 8-10 primary branches measuring 6-10 cm long at the apex and 12-20 cm long at the base. Fruits black in color and ca. 1 cm in diameter.
