    : United States: Louisiana: Lafourche Parish. Fields near Harry's Poboys in LAROSE, along LA 308 near corner with Duffy Breaux St. and about 200 meters SW of bridge over Intracoastal Canal. ELEV.: near sea level. 2934'41"N, 09023'21"W. Frequent simple-stemmed herb > 1 m tall; stem fistulose unwinged; capitula subtended by false involucre of bracteate leaves; receptacle epaleate long-setose; corolla pale lavender; anther tails 1.5 mm; style branches mostly appressed; pappus bristles plumose.
