    : United States: Illinois: Coles County. ca 8 miles S of Charleston, Fox Ridge State Park, between the Embarras River and IL 130, along river at canoe launch site at N end of Ridge Lake Road. Elev. ca 170 m Riparian floodplain, including open draw-down mudflats, with Platanus, Populus deltoides, Liquidambar, Acer negundo, A. saccharinum, Ulmus americana, Celtis occidentalis, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Toxicodendron radicans, Cryptotaenia, Ageratina altissima, Persicaria caespitosa, Urtica dioica, Eupatorium serotinum, Ambrosia trifida, Campsis radicans, Laportea canadensis, Symphoricarpos, Vitis, Aster, Viola, Polygonum virginianum, Pilea pumila, Cinna arundinacea, Conoclinium coelestinum, Verbesina alternifolia, Zizia aurea, Scrophularia marilandica, Campanula americana, Rudbeckia laciniata. Vine (somewhat woody at base) on ground and low vegetation; common. Lat. 3925'16"N Long. 8810'16"W.
