Citrus Wildlife Management Area (= Withlacoochee State Forest?); east of junction with U.S. 98 (just east of its junction with U.S. 19) on C.R. 480 to just west of Stage Pond, north on Forest Road 11B to F.R. 20, east to F.R. 11, north ca 200'. Then east of the road ca 150' in good quality sandhill (burned regularly?) with Pinus palustris, Quercus laevis, Q. geminata, Q. pumila, Eriogonum tomentosum, Aristida beyrichiana, Croton michauxii, Arnoglossum floridanum. Also with Vaccinium darrowii, Aeschynomene viscidula, Berlandiera subacaulis; near an active gopher tortoise mound. Roots with methyl salicylate smell; petals & sepals green with white margins; in scattered patches, ca 40 stems here. Lat. 28°43'30"N Long. 82°24'5.5"W.
