    : Dominican Republic: Prov. Santiago. Santiago, PUCMM (people say "pooh-key-my-mah"; Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra); along access road into parking lot of library. Elev. 160 m Roadbank with Tridax procumbens, Lantana camara, Stachytarpheta, Rhynchelytrum repens, Centrosema, Melochia, Oxalis, Hybanthus linearifolius, Stylosanthes hamata. Roots with methyl salicylate smell; flowers dark purple (darker than I've ever seen for this species), lip with greenish-yellow near tip. Lat. 1926'35"N Long. 7041'8.6"W Datum: WGS84.
