    : United States: Florida: Dixie County. Steinhatchee Falls Wildlife Management Area; 2.2 miles south of Tennille (junction with FL 51) on U.S. 19/98, then 3-3.1 miles southwest (.6 mile west & 2.4-2.5 miles south), near junction with unmarked dirt access road to the west. Sandy roadside with Polygala leptostachys, Eustachys glauca, Gaura angustifolia, Polypremum procumbens, Hypericum hypericoides, Smilax spp., Ampelopsis arborea, Salix caroliniana. Roots with wintergreen smell (methyl salicylate?); flowers pinkish-purple. Lat. 29 43.3'N Long. 83 20.3'W.
