    : United States: Florida: Alachua County. Ashton Biological Research Station Private. Approx 15 miles WSW of Gainesville, near Watermelon Pond. From SR 41, follow SW 95th Ave. west and then south. Follow signs to ""Ashton Biological Station"". Plot on southwestern edge of prope. Very narrow strip of mesic flatwoods between two pastures. Sparse longleaf pine canopy, with Quercus geminata and Q. incana in the subcanopy. Ground cover of patchy Serenoa repens, Aristida beyrichiana, Sorgastrum spp., Pityopsis graminifolia. Lat. 29 32.283'N Long. 82 35.042'W Datum: NAD83.
