    : Dominican Republic: Prov. Santiago Rodriguez. Cordillera Central, SW of Moncion, near junction with Rio Mao on road from La Leanor and El Aguacate, 7.9 km SW of El Aguacate; from top of slope of river valley (1917'27.2"N 7117'19.1"W) to river (1917'19.9"N 7117'9.8"W). Elev. 510-570 m Moist pine forest and moist broad-leaf forest along river, with Miconia stenobotrys, M. racemosa, M. sentenana, M. prasina, M. rubiginosa, M. serrulata, Clidemia hirta, C. umbellata, Mecranium acuminatum, Sagraea domingensis, Lyonia truncata var. montechristina, Odontosoria aculeata, Dicranopteris, Lycopodium cernuum, Baccharis myrsinites, Ilex, Schefflera morototoni, Securidaca virgata, Hypericum hypericoides, Sauvagesia erecta, Clusia, Hyptis, Mikania, Mucuna urens, Tibouchina longifolia, Palicourea, Triumfetta semitriloba, Symplocos berteroi, Casearia arborea, Zornia reticulata, Polygala paniculata, P. grandiflora. Tree to ca 10 m tall; flowers yellow.
