    : United States: Florida: Alachua County. Kanapaha Botanical Gardens; lawn area between The Palm Hammock and The Bamboo Garden. Open mowed sunny area. Plant with underground rhizomes. Flowers on long erect hairy pink to pale red pedicels; banner petals orange with a small yellow area on each side of the midvein on the adaxial surface, wing petals yellow. Plants thinly covering an area of ca. 150 sq. feet. There are 4 separate patches of similar size on the east side of the gardens. Lat. 29.61259N Long. 082.40718W Datum: WGS84. S21,T10S,R19E.
