    : United States: Florida: Miami-Dade County. Coconut Grove: The Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden, 4013 S. Douglas Road. Cultivated in garden, near gate to Hissar property (plot J-1). Tree 20 feet tall. Leaves shiny green above, dull below, with a spicy aroma when crushed. Inner surface of petals red at tip and yellow at base; outer petal surface purplish-gray. Flowers fragrant.
