    : [United States]: Florida: Putnam County. Collected in field behind Mrs. Gladys Gordon's property, Herman Dr., Hawthorne, FL. Mesic woodlands. Quercus virginiana, Pinus elliottii and Prunus caroliniana present in overstory. Woody slender vine with leaves whitish beneath, corolla yellow-green. Ethnobotanical uses: root of plant used with Prunus caroliniana ("wild cherry") bark to make a medicinal tea to treat kidney trouble. Any Smilax sp. used.
