    : United States: Florida: Alachua County. Kanapaha Botanical Gardens; The Hummingbird Garden. Growing in an open sunny bed next to the gazebo. Plant inflorescence ca. 1.2 meters tall, with 10 branches. Specimens taken from the lower 3 branches. Flowers pinkish-red and hanging down when open. Some open flowers have the style and stamens extended beyond the corolla. Leaves are very thick toward the base of the blade; exude yellowish clear sap when cut. Lat. 29.61322N Long. 082.40705W Datum: WGS84. S21,T10S,R19E.
