    : Dominican Republic. Herb to 1ft tall, locally common. Growing on a mountainside at about 3500ft at the edge of an open, grazed pine forest with patches of broadleaf woodland. Growing with Pinus occidentalis, Andropogon bicornis, Polygala paniculata, Micranium sp., Inga vera, Syzygium jambos, Pavonia spinifex, Asclepias nivea, Kalanchoe pinnata, Tillandsia usneioides, Rhynchospora nervosa, Pteridium aquilinum,Tabebuia sp.,Triumfetta semitriloba, and Urena lobata. By the road in front of the visitors house at the entrance to Armando Bermudez National Park, W. of La Cienaga, 1904'N, 7051.5'W. Santiago Province.
