    : United States: Florida: Taylor County. 30 11' 56"N 83 54' 37"W Aucilla Wildlife Management Area; ca 4.5 map miles northeast of Nutall Rise; go 2.2 miles west of FL 14 on U.S. 98, then 4.2 miles north on Powell Hammock Grade, then .2 mile west on Goose Pasture Road, then less than .1 mile north on unmarked road. Pinus elliottii plantation with remnants of sandhill and mesic flatwoods; with Quercus laurifolia, Q. incana, Q. margaretta, Q. pumila, Indigofera caroliniana, Serenoa, Aristida beyrichiana, Pteridium. Locally abundant shrub, forming dense colonies (from root sprouts?), to 5 m tall; fruits green, very tart.
