    : United States: Florida: Santa Rosa County. Eglin Air Force Base. T1N, R26W, S28 Harold S.E. 7.5' Topographic Quadrangle. North of Boiling Creek, S. of Roaring Branch, and W. of Range B-75. Ca. 1 mi. S. of RR 751 and RR 747 intersection and ca. 0.3 mi. W. of RR 747. Ecotone between sandhill and baygall communities. Overstory of Pinus palustris. Understory of numerous shrubs such as Oxydendron arboreum, Q. laurifolia and Prunus serotina. Tall herb. Stems and leaves harshly scabrous. Flowers pale yellow with maroon throat. Infrequent.
